telephone or relay: (What's relay? It is a service
that allows people who are deaf or hard-of-hearing to use the telephone.
A relay operator is on the call, and serves as the go-between for one
person who is on the call listening and one person who is on the call
typing into or reading from a TTD. Telephone calls by relay are
confidential: the calls are protected by the attorney-client privilege
just as if only the attorney and the client were on the call.)
Office: 248-591-0301
Toll free: 888-629-3660
(This is supposed
to be limited to Michigan, but it seems to work from any place.
Don't let the cost of a long distance call keep you from getting
help. Try it. Call us. If it doesn't work, then try again tomorrow
or call the 248 number and tell us to call you right back. That's
about as easy as we can possibly make it, but I'm open to
suggestions on how to make it easier.)
By email: (Either
one works - they both reach the same place.)
By text
message: (Why text messages? Are you kidding? Even
though each message is limited to about 150 characters, and even though
thumb-typing can get pretty annoying, it is a great way to negotiate a
date and time for a meeting or for a telephone or relay call. And that
is useful because catching a lawyer in her office on no warning is harder than amending the
Constitution used to be.)

Attitude comes from Kendra. Hypotheticals, questions, stories and anecdotes are
all made up based on years of helping real people protect their very real lives,
but are not the re-telling of real situations. We're lawyers, not reporters, and
we're trying to make a point. No matter how much a story seems like yours, relax
- it really isn't all about you.
